4 Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos in my garden area in Cook this am.
3 of them appeared to be a family. The male sat a short distance apart from the other two. The young one, somewhat smaller, sat right next to the female, who groomed it all over for 15 minutes. The young one was a bit wobbly when it tried to reach a small twig to bite at, and spread one wing for balance.
They stayed around for 2 hours.

Meantime migrating honeyeaters YFHEs, WNHEs, and a couple of Fuscous flew past, occasionaly feeding. A lovely morning!
