I'd rate that as a brilliant start to a day!  The table below shows the previous GBS records for Swift Parrot.  Ainslie is certainly an addition to their range.  Hopefully some of the other observers in the vicinity of Mt Majura will get some sightings this year.
RAOU Number Observation Year SUBURB
309 4 RED HILL
309 5 HALL
309 21 WESTON
309 23 CURTIN
309 24 COOK
309 24 MACQUARIE
309 24 HIGGINS
309 24 COOK
309 26 WEETANGERA

A good start to the day - at 6.30 a flock of 7 Swift Parrots flew over our Ainslie GBS site, heading S/SW. They were audible well before they appeared over the block.

Are we starting to see greater dispersal over town as with the Superb Parrots (see also Frank Antram's record)?
