Hi All

The brolga at Tidbinbilla is a male bird that was trucked in from near Geelong.  It  was partially hand-reared down there.  It is only 'on-loan' and will be replaced later in the year by a pair.  It is hoped that these birds will be more free-ranging rather than being confined to the relatively small enclosure.

Also at the Sanctuary a pair of wild black swans have established a nest next to the boardwalk and are currently (as of yesterday) sitting on 3 eggs.  These have been laid 1 every couple of days since last Wednesday.
