Yesterday (20-4-2008) I (& other) was at ANBG and near the top northern side we saw a Little Eagle in a most appealing viewing. It was gliding downwind but almost stationary directly above us, as the wind blowing up the hillside was pushing it back at the same speed. So it hovered above us for almost a minute before turning round and facing towards Black Mountain and quickly moved away. Then the Magpies come out in their predictable pursuit. It looked very much like the well known pale one often seen at J Wetlands.
