I once watched a pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles hunting an Eastern Grey Kangaroo near Angle Crossing. The two eagles pursued a half size kangaroo and one appeared to strike it and then the kangaroo took cover under a tree with the eagles then perched in the tree above. This was all observed at some considerable distance.
