Some sightings from my travels today:

GUNGAHLIN POND
1 male Musk Duck - first time I have seen this species here, though not far from Yerrabi Pond.
1 pair Australasian Shoveler
Purple Swamphen with 1 juvenile

GUNGAHLIN LAKES GOLF COURSE
20 Little Black Cormorants feeding in an inlet in a close knit group
1 Great Egret
1 female Collared Sparrowhawk (with outstretched injured? right leg) soaring overhead

LAKE GINNINDERRA
9 Cattle Egrets roosting in reeds/casuarinas on western foreshore.

Which reminds me that there were also at least 5 Cattle Egrets among the cattle in the paddocks at Jerra Wetlands last week.

Cheers
Marnix
