Some sightings from my travels today: GUNGAHLIN POND 1 male Musk Duck - first time I have seen this species here, though not far from Yerrabi Pond. 1 pair Australasian Shoveler Purple Swamphen with 1 juvenile GUNGAHLIN LAKES GOLF COURSE 20 Little Black Cormorants feeding in an inlet in a close knit group 1 Great Egret 1 female Collared Sparrowhawk (with outstretched injured? right leg) soaring overhead LAKE GINNINDERRA 9 Cattle Egrets roosting in reeds/casuarinas on western foreshore. Which reminds me that there were also at least 5 Cattle Egrets among the cattle in the paddocks at Jerra Wetlands last week. Cheers Marnix |
