As far as I know this species is resident in the ANBG.
There is a well known resident pair in the Rainforest Gully which according
to my records bred - I observed dependent young in March 2005.
Usually during the colder months I have also encountered a pair around the
Sydney Gully and another pair in the far west of the gardens but I am not
sure whether they are always there.
Interestingly the 1974 bird list for the botanic gardens has the Eastern
Yellow Robin down as a "Common Breeding Resident".
A more recent online list can befound here:

[canberrabirds] Yellow Robins at
ANBG
Howdy All,
Not sure whether this is of note or not, but at 8am this morning when
weeding in section 4 (below the rockery area) we were visited by a
pair of yellow robins. A workmate there said that they were common
but that they haven't seen them in quite a while and had thought
they'd moved somewhere else, so I don't know whether ours are
migratory or not (books say that some are migratory and others
aren't). I'd never seen them before so I was rather pleased,
particularly as they were totally unphased by having us there weeding
and at times were happily foraging within a metre of so from me. The
rest of the day was spent with White-browed Scrubwrens, Eastern
Spinebills and the like following along behind us as we weeded and
picking up insects. Altogether a lovely way to spend a day. <grin>
Cheers.
