Not just sun bathing, also water bathing - these were all lined up on my fence in light rain, no sun at all..

Hi Charmian,

It was being a sun-worshipper!  I've seen Crested pigeons do this in pairs on the ground, as well as Magpies.  One can often approach quite closely while they are doing this.

Cheers,
Beth

Hi

We have a crested pigeon with a crippled foot which spends most of its time in our yard. Occasionally it feeds so it is used to seeing us round. This morning it sat on the trellis, and raised one wing as in the picture - does anyone know what this signifies?

Thank you
