This morning I saw a flock of 26 Eastern Rosellas in the upper reaches of El Rancho Carwoola. This led me to think that the season is changing and I am trying to compose a few words about migration for my Gang-gang column. In so doing I noticed that the peak period (in terms of number of observations) for White-throated Needletails in the GBS is the last week of February and the first two weeks of March. This is possibly peak thunderstorm period also!
