Jerrabomberra Wetland Raptors [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

This is beginning to sound rather like the picnic area in Ngorongoro Crater. There you eat your lunch in the car or involuntarily share it with the local Black Kites.  It is rather astonishing to see a Kite take a chicken leg out of someone's hand as they raise it to their mouth!

One of my work colleagues saw this harrier with its trailing broken leg yesterday while she was picnicking at Kellys.  Apparently it came very close.  Perhaps it's getting very hungry and looking for hand-outs ?! ;)
