For my lunchtime walk today I walked the loop track at the Kingston end. At
the grassy knoll I flushed the SPOTTED HARRIER which offered an extreme
close up view. It won't be difficult to identify from now on I suspect as
it has a badly injured/broken leg which it extends down constantly even
while it soared high up into the sky. It also has a bent black primary wing
feather which also stands out. The trio of LITTLE EAGLES were also very
obvious as they circled and quartered, one bird neatly circled together
with the harrier. Twice I also flushed a COLLARED SPARROWHAWK along the
creekside vegetation. It also later circled skywards.
