Paddled to the Carillon this evening and saw at least a dozen birds, perching, flying out and hawking insect, then perching again.  Their wings were pale underneath and quite pointed, the only glimpse of colour I got was a flash of greenish back as one flew down lower away from the monochrome sky background.  (I didn't have binos)!  Saw a similar number of birds with the same characteristics at Weston Park during last weeks paddle.  Does that description and behaviour fit Rainbow Beaters?

Cheers
