This morning I saw a "Bittern-like" bird in the inlet on the western side of Yarramundi Reach (very adjacent to Barrrenjoey Drive).  I had 3 brief glimpses as it flew between reed beds.  Flight was very similar to the Little Bittern I observed on the 24th Jan near Acacia Inlet, but colour did not match either male or female LB.  Could it have been a juvenile Little Bittern?

Cheers
