Hi Julienne. Yes, that's Allocasuarina verticillata, prime G B-C tucker. It's the only Allocasuarina found locally (cf the River Oak, Casuarina cunninghamiana, which doesn't interest the GBCs, perhaps because the cones are too small).

[Actually, because pedantry is not unknown on this line, I should acknowledge two other locally very rare Allocasuarinas, A. luehmanii at the eastern edge of its range in Molonglo Gorge and Black Mtn Peninsula, and A. littoralis, at its most inland limits south of Gibraltar Falls.]
