I swung past the Bungendore Sewage Works yesterday and while there was a reasonable crop of waterfowl present there were no freckled ducks that I could see.
Given the good rain we have had over the last couple of months I wondered if the dam off Lake Road might have some water in it again. Although there were a couple of puddles alongside the road there was not a trace of the dam: Indeed the only way I could confirm where it used to be was the lonely pump shed. Probably all the rain has either run off gone into replenishing the water table (which seems to have still got some capacity).
