No - its on the Indian Ocean coast (at least as close to a coast as Brisbane is).

I think Brisbane might be right but I'm not sure. I can't say I've noticed gulls on the TV broadcasts from the Gabba and its a long time since I saw a cricket match live there. But I have childhood/teenage memories of watching tests and Sheffield Shield (pre the commercial Pura name change) games there and those memories seem to have gulls in them. (I'm getting old though - on reflection, perhaps they were pigeons).
