8 superb parrots were seen flying North over the
Crematorium at Bellenden St Mitchell about 7pm. Also present
were a dollarbird, 2 white plumes on a nest, 30 starlings with dy and ny and
mynas cf. Galahs with dy. 2 black faced cuckoo shrikes looked like nesting. 2
dusky woodswallows. 2 tree martins. 1 swallow. Many rosellas and red rumps.
Lots of other birds, a good
spot.
At Crace grassland reserve (ENE of the Gungahlin Dr and
Barton
Highway junction- facing Mt Majura) a pair of
Australasian grebes with dy. Pippits and 1 brown songlark. 1 black duck, 2
mynas. Many flowers.
