The dam is open to the public. Go to the brush tailed wallaby viewing area. To your left (when facing the rock formation where the wallabies are) is a gate which leads to the dam. The walk is about 500 metres or so. Either on the path or at the dam you may be lucky enough to meet the brown snake (below) or a red bellied black snake (at water's edge). While the black snake was polite and slithered away, the very long brown snake straddled the path to the dam and would not budge even with much foot stamping, so I back tracked and found another route! Sorry, no interaction pics. Maybe you can get some! Anyway, the magpie geese are worth the trip.
