Just heard (8.25am) a Common Koel at the corner of Limestone Avenue and Chisholm Street in Ainslie. I was on my way to work, had the windows shut, radio on and above the traffic noise could clearly hear the bird calling. It must have been very loud or almost above me in a tree. First heard it (half a km away) at c. 6.30 am. First hearing/sight in this part of Ainslie this year.
