I have reported 40 at the one time in April at the Crataegus crus-galli in Bell Street Griffith.  Not for the last few years though.

We currently are getting 5 birds daily - 2 pairs & another male.

We get gang gangs for much, but not all, of the year & for each of the 4
years that we have now been here.  The maximum at any one time has been 8.

Many years ago at Christmas Hills just North of Melbourne there was a tree
covered with gang gangs - literally too many to count.
