I’ve mentioned that I started feeding the local magpies during the intense dry last summer. They had a single young that did not do too well, a constant complainer and a poor flyer. This Spring, probably the result of a once-a-day feed of ‘steakette’ from the Fyshwick markets there are 3 healthy young. My plan is to taper off the steakette as soon as we get a bit of rain.
