Tracking down Australia's Rarer and More Mysterious Parrots Australia has long been known as A Land of Parrots. While we in Canberra are graced with some of the most spectacular species around us daily, Australia also is home to some parrots that are among the world's most mysterious birds. Dr Leo Joseph of the Australian National Wildlife Collection will discuss what we know of some of these rarer species, the problems the birds themselves face if they are to survive and the exciting and challenging research we have to do to help them. Wednesday 10 October, 12.30pm Ferguson Room, free (the Ferguson Room is the room overlooking the foyer, up the marble stairs. If you have trouble with the stairs, take the list to first floor - I'll make sure the door from the lift foyer out onto the mezzanine level is open - that gives you easy access to the Ferguson Room) Sandra Henderson
