John, the first bird seen and heard at Cooleman Ridge this year was on 22 September, with a quiet one reported in the woodland part of the Jerrabomberra Grassland reserve 2 days earlier.

Apart from one heard early in September, they seemed to arrive in numbers on the last weekend in September last year - possibly 2 present so far this weekend, but conditions have not been conducive to bird watching.
