Heard the familiar call this evening on a quick ramble up the western shore of Lake Ginninderra. Managed to spot one R. Songlark on a perch and heard another not far off reply to the call.
They were in pretty much the same spot as last year, but a fair bit earlier. As I recall, they didn't turn up there last year until around the time of the Blitz, though they were seen around Cooleman Ridge in early October...
