great egret

Yesterday I was watching a Great Egret knee-deep in water,
when suddenly it hunched, fluffed itself up and shook (for 3 to 5 secs)
as if engulfed by a gigantic sneeze.
I snapped it, but it really doesn't show clearly it's behavior.
Can anybody suggest what it was doing ?
