I checked the boats at Lotus Bay today. Saw what seemed like a
chick with an adult bird. Unfortunately, the boats were mainly hidden from view
making close range photography almost impossible from land.
However, here’s an extreme blowup of the deck of the
yellow boat from the shore.

yeah I think that was the boat
there were two chicks on the roof, on the far side, being
brooded/protected. where the bird on the right is positioned

Haven’t seen any chicks to date.
Is this the boat you mean?
I will check the boats out again tomorrow. Intrigued to see if
the nests (and eggs) survive or the boat owners will try to remove them.
I hope not. There are five nests of the yellow hulled boat and
two on this one.
