At 11.45 this morning a saw yet another Eastern Water Rat from the bridge at Kellys. No sign of a platypus. It was grooming itself on the tree branches just above the water about 10 metres east of the bridge and then swam under the bridge close to the shore before disappearing. Great views of the whole animal including the long tail with the white tip. I have seen many such rats but never a platypus in LBG over the years. Hope to go back there at dusk.  Does anyone know if EWR is known to attack and eat platypus?
