That a possibility I considered, but the jizz seems a bit wrong, it looks like a smallish, slender bird, and Choughs are not much smaller than our White-winged Chough. I don;t think they physically hover (even with a nestling to lean on). Also I'd never think they would perch in trees, I think of them as exclusively ground inhabiting birds, perhaps the occasional sea-cliff or mountain ledge, but mainly grassland.

Just a guess, but possibly a Chough, P pyrrhocorax.   The bill is not shown well, but the fledglings match the description in Derek Goodwin's Crows of the World.  If so and if of wild birds, the photo might have been taken somewhere between Spain and China  g

This is a beautiful photo, but does anyone know waht sp the birds are? I thought a North American icterid, but I can't find one to match.

 

Any thoughts?
