Heard and then saw my first Rufous Whistler of the season in the large casuarinas of the river corridor in the Tuggeranong Office Park complex.  This is two days earlier than my first observation of this species in the same location last year.  The Yellow-faced Honeyeater is back in large numbers behind the complex, very active in the mature eucalypts and enjoying the same flowering grevilleas as Philip's White-fronted Honeyeater.
