I started the day at Callum Brae where the least common birds were 2
Rainbow Lorikeets. I thought this unusual until I checked the text of
the latest ABR to find it is a common site for the species. Both
rosella species were inspecting hollows. Only little corellas and
they were behaving with great decorum (at least relative to the
long-billed lasciviousness reported last week).
On to a windy Acacia Inlet Park to check for Great Crested Grebe.
Absent: probably hiding from the gale in the reeds.
On to Corroboree Park to check for the Tawny Frogmouth(s). Absent - I
didn't have the details of the location but thanks to Robin I will
have another, better equipped go later, I did however see a Crested
Pigeon sitting on a nest behind the Ainslie Hall.
