Many more surprises to come. As for "The former two were a surprise because I consider them non-suburban birds." Well one can't predict what another will "consider" but I will point out that both are listed on the chart, which means that at the time I set the list for print (and I assume it is still the same list included on the chart - I use version 5), these were within the top 50 most recorded species. So they are very much a typical. A query exists on the GBS database to extract and sort in the right order, the 50 (or however many you want) most often recorded species in whichever set of years you wish to know.
 
If your "Grey ST is always silent" then it is different from mine which has been here all winter and now sings every day. Through most of June & July it was only giving the "klute" single call but it now sings a lot.
 
If you want to know what to expect, that is easy, all the work has been done to put that information together.
