Yesterday afternoon my wife and I were driving down Drake Brookman
Drive Holt and stopped to watch sulphur crested and both little and long billed
corellas feeding on the footpath where some one leaves food out.
There were two sulphur crested there that at first we
thought were just dirty.
They were however a very light pink, darker that the
corellas and one sulphur had a tinge of red in its crest.
Both had the yellow under the wings and also on the cheeks
once we looked closely but the overall colour was pink.
We thought that there may have been a bit of interaction
between the corellas and sulphurs to produce off spring of a different hue.
Has any one seen this or indeed the birds in question?
