Cayley, What Bird Is That (3rd edition 1959) has
under Wedge-tailed Eagle:
: "Also called Eaglehawk-an inappropriate
name considering that the bird is the fourth largest Eagle in the world.."
Much more fun is the 1st edition ( 1931) which has:
"Also called Eaglehawk- a ridiculous name considering that it is the largest
species of Eagle in the world.."
