Hi all.

I'm new in town, just getting used to the birds and places in which to see them . This means that I don't know what is seen rarely and what is a "junk bird". So...if I'm telling folks about uninteresting sightings, I apologize in advance. On a short walk today at the saddle between Ainslie and Majura, there were the usual culprits, but I had a two White-eared honeyeaters, male and female Scarlet robin, a Grey fantail and a Black-eared cuckoo. It was a chilly but rewarding morning.

By the way, I'm interested in getting out birding with locals and have a flexible schedule (on sabbatical) so, if you're heading out and want some company, feel free to give me a shout.

Cheers,
Chip Scialfa
