crested pigeons are nesting in their previously-used nest in an easy-to-view
spot in a hakea beside the public footpath near the SW corner of Boobialla &
Clianthus streets - began sitting last Tuesday (17 July), so I was glad we
did not get the snow etc (though that could have made a cute pic ...). I
know they are not particularly exciting birds, but if you come by & want to
borrow a step ladder do knock on the door.
cheers
Barbara
PS King parots enjoying their usual winter treat of winter honeysuckle -
they might be lessening the beautiful perfume from the flowers, but that's
fine .... and the Eastern Spinebills enjoying the various camellia species,
especially C. Grisjii (which are also beatifully perfumed, if less
penetrating).
