I was in the yard this afternoon when I heard a virtuouso sub-song of
crackles and whistles above me in the tree. I thought "Don't look up,
every time you look up to an interesting bird-sound it's Mynahs, and
then they cackle and sneer at you".

However, after a while the singing got too interesting, with nice
double-syrinx work, and I had to look up... to see an immature Satin
Bowerbird above me, with two others nearby. As all were identical and
very pale in plumage I assume they were three sub-adults sticking
together, rather than a mother and two offspring.
