Red-rumped Parrots have appeared to be in decline since 1980s but it may be changing. The past year I have had far more around my place than before. I just had reason to visit Urambi pre-school at Snodgrass St Kambah. There was a big flock of them. Certainly more than 80 and maybe 100, just within the size of a few houses. I was told they are there "all the time". I saw that they got rather upset when a Collared Sparrowhawk flew over. There is all the open ground that they like and a house near there with an aviary with Galahs, a Major Mitchell Cockatoo and some other large parrot I couldn't identify (because it is hard to see in and I probably shouldn't have been looking) and quite likely that they may put out seed.
