I thought about my message overnight. I'll
admit that as I wrote it, I had interpreted the quote "shitting its stomach
up" as a crude euphemism in the use of the word "shit". As in her thinking of
vomiting as an unpleasant thing. I might be wrong. I justify this on the basis
that the word is (indeed most expletives are) typically used in a non-literal
sense. I did however interpret the word "up" in a literal sense. In other words
the lady may have meant it is "throwing its stomach up", maybe a crudity
for pellet formation. However, if she is really thinking that pellets go
down the gut, rather than up, then she is certainly mistaken. I don't know what
she meant. All birds droppings show the white of uric acid, for the PO their
droppings form quite a splash of white on the ground. I don't think there is any
reason to think that the bird is badly impacted by attention by the usual range
of visitors.
