Yes I remember the mini-invasion (well, 2 pairs) in 03/04 at CP, neither nesting attempt successful as I recall, and they were about regularly before then particularly in the vicinity of the horse crossing. Like Steve, I haven't noticed them there since, but I haven't been there so much, mainly because CP has fallen off as an interesting bird place, despite the odd surprise. Yarden's report is a useful update. A pair regularly nested in Callum Brae, but I haven't seen THEM recently either. By contrast the long-term pair at the Newline paddock can nearly always be found there, as frequent reports remind us. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Holliday Sent: Thursday, 14 June 2007 9:44 AM To: Subject: shriketits at Campbell Park Shriketits nested at CP in summer 2003/04 (at least 2 attempts I am aware of) but I don't recall having found any there since cheers Steve |
