At lunchtime today in the vicinity of the Shepherd's Lookout car park there was a flock of Double-barred Finches numbering in excess of 50 individuals. Also present were Red-browed and Goldfinches in smaller numbers and I also saw at least 2 Diamond Firetails. Really, there were too many birds to keep track of. At the intersection of the loop trail there was a large mixed feeding flock comprising Speckled Warblers, all 5 of the local Thornbills, Weebills, White-browed Scrubwrens, Superb Fairy-Wrens, Grey Shike-Thrushes, White-throaed Treecreepers and a couple of Scarlet Robins.
