Same day as Martin (11/6) but along the Southern end of Googong from London Bridge to Flynn's crossing. Very cold and frosty in the morning but turned into a good day. Best birds were Brown Treecreeper and Yellow-tufted Honeyeater. One pair of the latter appeared to be defending territory. Also about thirty other species, so a bracing walk and some good birding. They will all go into the COG database for Gr O19 and Gr P19. A bit surprised to see no Speckled Warblers. Some of the edge habitat looked somewhat suitable for Hooded Robin, but none sighted. Also a bit of mystery bird which I did not get a look at - a repeated 'chuk' calling in dense bushes - not much of a clue, but any advice on possibilities for the latter would be welcome.
