A pair of YRTBs are busy building a nest in a sheoak in our backyard.  A couple of years ago a pair also built a nest in the same tree in late May but it did not result in any addition to numbers as the nest was abandoned without (as far as we could tell) any eggs being laid.  It will be interesting to see what eventuates from the current activity.  Also interestingly this pair has built on the windward side of the tree (it will be interesting to see if it survives today’s wind), unlike all of the other several nests built in the tree since we have been here, which have always been on the lee side.

Regards
