While at Hawker shops yesterday afternoon I heard the calls of many
lorikeets. Upon investigation I found a loose flock of at least 16,
possibly more, Rainbows at the Hawker Flats by Bonrook St. Many were
feeding on a ledge by someone's flat while others were calling from
adjacent shrubs and trees. I got within a few metres of one pair. This was
around 4pm.
It's the largest number I have seen here.
