I am overwhelmed by the sympathy my number plate plight has elicited from this list, the spirit of charity may not be dead, but it appears to be a little bit sick. Ditto for some of the jokes.

Enough melodramatics, on a slightly birdier note a couple of observations from our Ainslie residence this morning. First 14 Dusky Wood-swallows passing quite high overhead in a loose flock, heading south-westish. Then a fast moving bunch of 15+ Red Wattlebirds keeping about tree-top level, also heading south-west. I was rather intrigued by the direction these birds were heading, do they know something we don't? Finally 3 Fuscous Honeyeaters, the first at our GBS site for about 3 years, passed through. These were sensibly heading north.

cheers

Steve
