Wood ducklings

Had to brake suddenly as I drove up Narrabundah Lane yesterday next to Callum Brae as a pair of wood ducks emerged from the roadside and shepherded about 15 very tiny ducklings from CB to the farm across the road.  I'd been at Callum Brae the day before for a couple of hours and visited all the dams - no obvious signs of nesting in the nearby trees, although at least one pair did nest in tree next to one of the dams earlier in the season, and no wood ducks on the dams on Sunday.
