Hi,
Like Peter Miller, we camped on the south coast (albeit further south) at
Mimosa Rocks NP. Highlights were: great views of at least 2 (probably 3)
pairs of Glossy Black-Cockatoos on two occasions (crappy photos ensued); an
abundance of Lorikeets (especially at Nelson's Beach) with numerous Musk,
lesser numbers of Rainbow and a couple of Little; many tamish Dusky
Antechinus at Nelson's Beach; a juvenile? Diamond Python at Aragunnu;
Eastern Reef Egret and White-bellied Sea-Eagle on the coastal front; Bassian
Thrush near our campsite at Aragunnu; and many migrating Yellow-faced
Honeyeaters with a couple of White-naped as well. On the way back, at
Wallaga Lake, there were: many Chestnut Teal, Black Swans, Aust. White Ibis,
Royal Spoonbills and Little Pied Cormorant (great photos); a Great Egret;
and 3 flocks of ~50+ migrating? Wattlebirds (Little?).
Cheers,
Tobias
