There were at least two Zebra Finches on the north-west edge of Belconnen
this afternoon.
I don't know how one tells a wild bird from an ex-cage bird but they
certainly weren't pose-ing for pictures, this was the best i could do.
They appeared to be assosciating with some diamond firetails.
Where exactly? Bit hard to expain, where West Macgregor is going to be (i
think).
If you have the same Gregory's as me not far from the bottom left hand
corner of map 17.
There is an old road with a gate at each end which runs to the no longer in
use pumping station which had lots of fairy martin nests in it two summers
ago.
About half way along that "road". It is about a kilometre walk from
Jarramlee Pond and a bit further from Fassifern Pond.
It is under 2 kilometres from where a pair were a couple of
years ago.
