Waterbirds

At Bowen Park, which is S East of Kings Avenue bridge, Lake Burley Griffin, in East Basin. There were:

-8 wood duck males and 6 females. In pairs, so 2 extra males. Whenever I have counted before there always seems to be extra males. Has anyone else noticed this?

-There were 62 black ducks, which seemed like quite a lot for there. Many were displaying.

-Also 92 seagulls- with about half being juveniles/immature.

A few swans and coots and 9 domestic pigeons.
