For anyone interested in the strange tale of the Wild Peacocks of Narrabundah, the following is the grey-morning view from my backdoor at this very moment.  One of the keys to the survival of the threesome is their ability to fly.  The young male on the right was drinking at the fishpond when the terrier-cross came rushing down, but the bird rose to the roof of the shed with effortless composure to join its companions preening and watching  for swifts.
