Barn Owl in Turner!!

Just now I raced out to a cacophony of calls - especially Pied Currawongs, A Raven, White Cockies - to see a very harassed Barn Owl in a fairly open small tree. It immediately flew off north-westish (sort of in your direction Milburn!). No opportunity to alert potential twitchers I'm afraid. It's not the first time I've seen a new ACT species in my own yard, but it doesn't happen very often.

Ah the rewards of working on a public holiday....
